Stedelijk Museum Schiedam
Commissioned by Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Thomas created several new campaign images for their latest exhibition Kijkdepot Schiedam (‘Viewing depot Schiedam’). During the exhibition, opened in April 2021, the museum explores their own collection together with the public and experts. Thomas combined everyday household objects with collection pieces like a teapot from 1702, a silver fork that was created in vein for Napoleon (1807), ‘Stoofjes’, and an old fashioned reading board that has been part of the collection since 1969. With these images, Thomas shows all the stories these objects contain in a new contemporary way. Thomas his images were featured in a citywide ‘abri campaign’ and were also on display during the exhibition.
