Several years ago, photographer Thomas Nondh Jansen moved together with his family from the busy city center to a small village in the north of the Netherlands. From a cosmopolitan place to a small rural village that consists of only one road surrounded by meadows. Thomas is amazed by the enormous sense of space, the endless cloudy skies and the wind that always seems to blow. At the same time, he misses the bustle of the city, his friends within cycling distance, the beautiful museums and the wide variety of takeaway food. Sometimes Thomas feels ‘out of place’ and this move changed his life.
